JOINT ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION WORKSHOPS FOR TEACHERS FROM THE GREEK CYPRIOT AND TURKISH CYPRIOT COMMUNITIES

Workshop Schedule

Are you interested in:

• Developing educational activities that you can use in the natural environment within or close to your school?

• Making greater and better use of the natural environment in the teaching of Biology, Geography, Art, Language or Elementary science?

• Leading your classes in field studies trips that can enhance their appreciation of the natural environment as well as their creative and observational skills?

• Developing classroom activities that enhance your students’ appreciation of the environment and the dangers it is facing?

• Working co-operatively and sharing ideas with like-minded teachers from all over the island of Cyprus?

If so, you should join us for one of three series of workshops as follows:

• PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHERS

1. December 2001

• SECONDARY ART AND LANGUAGE TEACHERS

• SECONDARY BIOLOGY AND GEOGRAPHY TEACHERS

Workshops will be free of charge and food will be provided. Sessions will normally run from 9 a.m. to 4. p.m. The venue will be in Pyla village.

The workshops are an initiative of Peace Child International in cooperation with Environmental Studies Centre, school and university teachers from both communities.
