Akincilar Youth Club has started the new season 1999-2000 with the new
board.

Sevgan Kali, who has been the president of the club for many years, has decided to resign from his position in order to encourage the young generation to take part in the management whom he believes will bring dynamism to the
club. Yusuf Ismailoglu has been selected as the president of the club when the extraordinary general meeting was held. He has started working with the new board which consists of young people.

AGK team, with its young and hard-working coach Mustafa Ozarabaci, showed a great performance and success at the eleven matches of the first half and therefore ranked the second in the first half.

The team drew a lot of attention after its 3-0 January victory at the beginning of the league and 3-1 away win against Yalova in the second week.

In the third week, they lost a home game against Cetinkaya. In the following they played against Gencler Birliği. The score was 0-0. They kept up their morale when they defeated Lefke by a score of 3-1 and then Esentepe by 4-0. In the following weeks, they played against Gonyeli and obtained a draw score of 1-1, then with Yenicami in Nicosia with a score of 2-1 and the game against Dumlupinar ended with a score of 1-0. In the tenth week, Akincilar defeated Ulku Yurdu 3-2 in an away match. The last match was in Akdogan which ended by the defeat of K.Kaymakli (3-1). At the end of the first half, Akincilar got 20 points and ranked the second in the first half of the league

AGK was not that successful in home games compared with away matches. But Mehmet Arikli, a player transferred from Lefke was very promising for the second half.
